Itinerary

Day 1Main Destination - Ol Pajeta Conservancy

Accommodation – Sweetwaters Serena Camp

Meals – Lunch & Dinner

You will be picked from the airport in the morning on arrival (0700hrs) or a Nairobi Hotel or after breakfast for a drive to Ol Pajeta Conservancy. Situated between the foot hills of the Aberdares and the magnificent snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya, Ol Pejeta Conservancy boasts of variety of wildlife, including all the members of the ‘Big Five’ (the endangered black and white rhino, leopard, elephant, buffalo and lion). Spend the afternoon exploring this pristine wilderness in a game drive. Dinner & overnight stay at Sweet Waters Tented Camp

Day 2Main Destination - Ol Pajeta Conservancy to Samuburu National Reserve

Accommodation – Samburu Sopa Lodge

Meals – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

You will have an early morning game drive then return to the camp for a full breakfast. Check out thereafter and drive further north to the rugged Samburu National Reserve arriving on time for lunch at the Samburu Sopa Lodge. Relax after lunch enjoying the lodge facilities. Leave the lodge in the afternoon at around 3:30pm when it’s a bit cooler in search of big game till dusk.

Day 3Main Destination - Samburu National Park

Accommodation – Samburu Sopa Lodge

Meals – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

 Early morning game drive before it gets hot returning back in time for breakfast. You can discuss with your guide about having a mid-morning game drives before lunch. So that you can maximize your time on game drives rather than returning back for meals. Samburu is hot and it is at times not advisable to have a full day game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Samburu Sopa Lodge.

Day 4Main Destination - Naivasha

Accommodation – Naivasha Sopa Lodge

Meals – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Leave Samburu National Reserve in the morning for Naivasha which is in Nakuru county. Arrive during lunch time. Check in and have a few hours of rest after lunch. You will then go for a boat ride in the late afternoon. After which you will go back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5Main Destination - Lake Nakuru National Park

Accommodation –Sopa Lodge

Meals – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Depart Naivasha after breakfast for an amazing drive to Lake Nakuru. You will have a stopover at Elementaita which is a lake with a lot of flamingos and later proceed to lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive on time for lunch at the Sarova Lion Hill. Relax after lunch and thereafter go for an evening game drive starting at 1600hrs to 1830hrs. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6Main Destination - Masai Mara National Game Reserve

Accommodation –Sopa Lodge

Meals – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Have an early breakfast followed by check out from the lodge. Depart and drive through the floor of the Rift Valley to the world famous game reserve, the Masai Mara National Reserve arriving at Mara Sopa Lodge in time for lunch. Later, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the reserve from 1600hrs to 1830hrs.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7Main Destination - Masai Mara National Game Reserve

Accommodation –Sopa Lodge

Meals – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

You may decide to spend the entire day exploring the park after breakfast with packed picnic lunch or enjoy the usual early morning and late afternoon game drives in the Masai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya’s most famous park with an extraordinary density of animals, including all the Big Five. In July – October, it’s also the scene of the great annual Migration, when hundreds of thousands of wildebeest, plus smaller numbers of zebra and antelope, arrive in search of fresh grazing from Tanzania’s Serengeti National park in the south. The predators follow the herds, so this is the best time to witness plenty of animal action, especially if you get the opportunity to see the wildebeest cross the Mara River, where they have to dodge crocodiles, too. You may also decide to visit the Masai Village in the late afternoon at an extra cost of 20 dollars per person. You will then return to your Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8Masai Mara to Nairobi

Main Destination – Nairobi

Accommodation – No accommodation

Meals – Breakfast & Lunch

 Enjoy a full breakfast at the lodge and later check out for a 6 hours’ drive to Nairobi. Arriving in Nairobi in the early afternoon where you will be dropped at a Nairobi Hotel or at the airport.
