Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Nairobi to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge, followed by your first game drive in the afternoon. Watch as the golden savannah comes to life with elephants, giraffes, lions, and perhaps even a leopard resting in a tree. As the sun sets, return to your lodge for dinner and your first night in the wild.
Rise early for a thrilling morning game drive when animals are most active. Masai Mara is known for its abundant wildlife, including the Big Five, and if you’re visiting during migration season, you may witness the great herds crossing the plains. Enjoy a bush picnic or lunch at the lodge, then set off again in the afternoon for more wildlife sightings. Optional activities include a visit to a Maasai village or a hot air balloon safari at sunrise.
Spend another full day in this wildlife-rich paradise. Explore new areas of the reserve and track different animal species with your expert guide. Visit the Mara River where hippos and crocodiles lounge, and where migration river crossings take place. As your last evening in the Mara approaches, enjoy a sundowner with panoramic views and a memorable farewell dinner under the stars.
After breakfast and a final morning game drive, journey back to Nairobi. Arrive in the afternoon and check into your hotel for a comfortable city stay. Depending on your timing, you might squeeze in a visit to the Giraffe Centre, the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, or enjoy a cultural dinner at Carnivore Restaurant. Rest up for the next leg of your adventure.
Leave the city behind as you head south to Amboseli National Park, arriving in time for lunch with views of Mount Kilimanjaro rising in the distance. In the afternoon, set out for a game drive where you’ll likely encounter herds of elephants, buffalo, zebras, and possibly lions. Return to your camp or lodge in time to watch the sunset cast a golden glow over the iconic mountain.
Enjoy a full day in Amboseli, with morning and afternoon game drives across the dusty plains. The park is particularly famous for its massive elephant herds and clear views of Kilimanjaro on a clear day. In between safaris, relax at your lodge. Your final evening in Amboseli is a perfect time to reflect on your safari so far with a peaceful dinner under the stars.
After breakfast, drive to Diani, where paradise awaits on the Kenyan coast. Arrive in Diani Beach and check into your beach resort. The rest of the day is yours to relax—dip your toes into the warm Indian Ocean, sip a tropical drink, and unwind with the gentle sound of waves. After days on safari, the beach is a welcome contrast.
Today is all about relaxation and optional coastal adventures. You can take a snorkeling or diving trip to the nearby coral reefs, enjoy a dhow cruise, or simply lounge on the white-sand beach. For the adventurous, visit Shimba Hills Reserve for a short inland safari. In the evening, dine on fresh seafood by the ocean and soak in the tranquil coastal vibe.
Enjoy one last full day at your own pace. Start with a sunrise walk along the beach, get a massage at the spa, or join a local cultural tour of nearby villages. Whether you choose to be active or simply laze by the pool, it’s your time to savor the coastal magic. Toast to your incredible Kenyan journey during your final dinner by the sea.
After breakfast, transfer to Ukunda Airstrip/or Moi International airport for your return flight to Nairobi or back home, connecting with your international departure. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for a short visit or meal in the city. As you leave Kenya behind, you’ll carry with you unforgettable memories of wild savannahs, majestic wildlife, and sun-soaked shores.
